The Bethany House serves as a distribution center for daily requests of food bags containing nonperishable food and beverage items. an average of 2,200 bags, usually weighing more than 30 lbs. are distributed annually. Most of the food items are collected through community food drives.
As well, Bethany House serves as a registration and distribution center for the "Good Samaritan Program" which sets out to distribute a full-bag of non-perishable food items each month. For most indigent and elderly families, these food bags represent an important part of their limited sustenance.
