Homebound Meals are delivered to indigent elderly and disabled persons (including veterans) in the community who are unable to access on site meals at Bethany House. Balanced nutritious breakfast and lunch meals are delivered to each individual’s home. For many, especially the elderly or diabled, this meal delivery, is one of very few personal visits they may receive during the day. Beyond feeding the body, the personal delivery feeds the spirit.
In addition, these deliveries include meals delivered to street homeless individuals that for a variety of reasons are unable or incapable of coming to the dining facility.
There are three delivery routes to west, central, south Laredo, and sorrounding colonias. More than 600 meals are delivered daily, five days a week.
"Street Corner Meals" are also delivered in partnership with Stepping Stones Ministry.
