The Vintage Store opened in the summer of 2007 at 920 Hidalgo Street, one block away from the dining location. The store hours are from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The store is manned by a combination of staff and volunteers. Items for sale include clothing for men, women, and children, home décor, electronics, and furniture.
The store depends entirely upon donations from the community. All revenues from the store serve to fund the meal and housing programs of the Bethany House. The store also helps implement the Volunteer Interns Taking Action (VITA) which are resident clients that volunteer as a way of job training so that they may eventually rejoin the workforce and achieve self-sufficiency.
