Breakfast, lunch, and dinner service are offered at 819 Hidalgo St. at 9 a.m., 12 noon, and 5 p.m., six days a week for any and all walk-in clients. The facility is located in downtown Laredo, and it has the capacity to serve approximately 175 persons during one sitting.
More than 1000 meals are prepared and served daily. Bethany House is the only agency to serve the homeless, indigent, and elderly 3 meals daily. Many elderly residents make trips for lunch from nearby low-income housing developments located in the downtown area. As well, emergency shelter and transitional housing residents are served at this facility.
Approximately 3,847,044 pounds of food are served and/or distributed annually by the Bethany House.
