Transitional Housing
The shelter complex provides 8 transitional housing units (efficiencies). The units are assigned to individuals or families who have a real possibility of achieving self-sufficiency through the improvement of life skills and access to mainstream social services. Unit capacities range from a maximum of 3 to 5 occupants.

Those assisted are typically families with a member that is employed and/or are participating in educational or occupational programs. All adult family members have an Individual Action Plan (IAP) which they must adhere to remain in housing.

This housing is limited to 18 months and the lease terms are generally set at 90 day increments. A transitional housing committee of 3 community agency members, along with the case manager, conducts the initial admission screening and recommends the elements of the IAP.
